  • Problems with new release 3.19i

    Hi Tony

    installed the new release and it has knocked out my icon to start it and it is just a square with eurobeam below it

    this starts the program sometimes but I also get a message that it contains malware from avg which I have not had before

    It also fails to save a new project I get a message ' a error occurred when trying to create the file shown below. Error: cannot create file "c:\191007.eub" access denied and once I have this message I have to go to task manager to shut the program down

    If I open a previous file it opens and saves OK but if I add a beam etc then it gives the message above As its opens the older file it knows which directory to look at

    I tried to reinstall the older 3.19f but it would seem as that as this is an older version it will not install and over write the newer file so to roll back I would need to uninstall the new version and start again ?

    I've just posted a new release 3.19j, mainly to fix some column design bugs in 3.19i. If this doesn't sort things please come back.

      Avg is blocking the download as it says there is mal ware in the file

      Downloaded the file and it just keeps being blocked

      Anyone else having problems

        Hi tony

        when I check for updates in the program it goes to down load then I get a box that says ERROR that's after AVG has told me it contains malware which I created an exception for

        file size mismatch file size - 1 download size 10778640 status code 200

        this probably makes more sense to you

          I'm 99.9% sure the AVG warning is a false positive: it's fine under Norton and out of 50+ downloads we've had a handful of reports from AVG and F-Secure users. The website download was replaced at the weekend so if you downloaded before then, I'd suggest trying again.

            Tried to use the link in the program but is still being blocked so I went for manual download and tried to run which also triggered avg so then run as administrator which then reported a file miss match

              now avg aborts the connection to superbeam.co.uk as it says its infected with URL:blacklist

              no idea what this is but thought I would let you know it might be specific to avg

              might have to un install and get Norton

                I've submitted the URL to AVG and have asked them to check it out and whitelist it. Now in their hands ....

                  Just to confirm, we have had the same problem with AVG. We've got round it, by switching AVG off briefly! :-)

                      I am getting an error message if I try and down load from the program
                      its an box that says an error occurred in euorbeam.exe then I can either continue the program , close etc

                      However I did a manual download of the file and this installed OK with
                      no message from AVG
